The upcoming talents of Brazil’s football were on display during the recent international friendlies that involved matches against the USA and El Salvador. The USA and El Salvador are not teams that one would expect to defeat Brazil, but it was more from Brazil’s point of view to try out these new youngsters against different teams.
Let’s look at five of the upcoming talents from this Brazil squad:
1. Arthur Melo
Arthur Melo, the 22-year-old footballer, has plied his trade in the Brazilian league with Gremio for 3 seasons. He was instrumental in Gremio’s winning the Campeonato Gaucho in 2018 and the Copa Libertadores in 2017. His early success earned him a dream of moving to Barcelona where he will play football with the great Lionel Messi and the likes of Philippe Coutinho.
Arthur has already shown what he can give to Barca in a span of a few matches. He can be a complete box-to-box midfielder and be a part of the starting eleven. Lionel Messi has remarked that amongst all the youngsters he has seen, Arthur has impressed him the most.
Richarlison is considered as the most influential for Everton since his arrival from Watford this season. Having initially given a break by Marco Silva as a Watford player, he had a lot of potentials. Despite the fact that his transfer to Everton raised a few eyebrows, he has silenced so far.
Because the Brazilian team boasts great players like Coutinho, Neymar, and Roberto Firmino, he had to wait for his turn. But Pedro having got injured gave him a chance to participate for the Selecao and he has shown his worth by scoring two sublime goals against El Salvador. If he gets improved at Everton and Brazil, he will be a special player in the future for both.
